Grand Master Chang 
Senior Master Se Won Chang was born in Seoul, South Korea and began learning the art of Taekwondo at the age of 7 with his older brother Grand Master Se Yong Chang. Fascinated with the martial arts he vigorously practiced to advance his skill. Nearly 13 years later he and his brother opened up a martial arts school together called the Young's Karate Institute in Brunswick, Maryland. After a couple of years, they closed and reopened in Baltimore, Maryland and renamed their school the U.S. Taekwondo Academy. Teaching side by side with his brother, Senior Master Chang decided to branch off and make another U.S. Taekwondo Academy in the Fairfax/Burke area in Virginia.
Having over 40 years of experience in the martial arts he has taught and trained many national level fighters and international fighters such as Master CJ (2003 U.S. National Team Member and Team Captain) and Youngshin Chang (2002 Junior World Silver Medalist). Also as an experienced coach and supporting father he has helped his son David Chang be undefeated in the state of Virginia and win Gold at the 2004 Junior Olympic National Championships and his daughter Jessica be a top competitor in the state of Virginia and 2002 Gold medalist, 2003 Bronze medalist, and 2004 Silver medalist in the Junior Olympics. Senior Master Chang's continuous goal in life is to revolutionize the art of Taekwondo using computers and modern physical training and it brings him great joy to see the progress of his student excel in the art of the hand and foot.
